In this post I am going to cover how to setup you SCOM environment to be the System Center Advisor gateway.
Prerequisites:
- Upgrade SCOM 2012 to SP1 UR 2, the agents must be upgraded also
- Remove System Center Advisor Agent from machines if deployed

Extracting the Management Packs to be imported to SCOM
the MPs will be extracted to C:Program Files (x86)System CenterSCAdvisor Connector for OM Preview
Once you have exported the Management Packs Open the SCOM Console –> Administration –> Management Packs –> Import Management Packs
I have previously imported the MPs in the above screenshot
Once you have imported the MPs navagete to the the Advisor Connection under Administration
Click Configure/reconfiure
Enter your Live ID that has admin rights to System Center Advisor select the Advisor Account Name. Once you have finished the wizard.
Click the Advisor managed
Click Add a Computer, Select the Computers you want to monitor with System Center Advisor. On the next refresh of the configuration the SCA management packs will load and start reporting to the System Center Advisor web site.
Keep in mind that you will not want to monitor System Center Service Manager management servers with SCA since the SCOM agent is not the correct version.
Here is the warning you will get if there is a failure loading the System Center Advisor configuration
Notice the error code is given and the list of what each error code means, in the above case the SCOM agent had not been upgraded to SP1 UR2. Once the update was applied everything started working.
